Rotary Valves must be reliable. They must also be perfectly tuned to the production process in which they will be used. That’s why UNIVERSAL rotary valves are custom-built to your exact specifications using standard components. They are able to handle both powders and granulates.

UNIVERSAL rotary valves are available in 2 versions;
1) Rotary Airlock and
2) Blowing Seals

BODY & ENDCOVERS :
Cast Iron
Cast Iron, internally hard chromium plated
Cast Iron, completely electroless nickel plated
Cast Iron, with wear resistant tungsten carbide coating all stainless steel 316.

ROTORS :
With interchangeable and adjustable rotor blades (standard version) with reduced capacity rotor and interchangeable rotorblades with radiudes rotor pockets and fixed blades in easily removable execution, on request.

MINIMUM AIR LEAKAGE :
The application of rotary valves under certain pressure differences will cause a loss of air which has to be considered when engineering the system. Basically the total air loss may be considered to be caused by split streams. Airleakage through the gaps-airleakage by rotation of the rotor. Using the diagram the total airleakage can be found in relation with the size of the valve, the rotorspeed and the pressure difference over the valve.
